The invisible White Devil in rural parts of India
The story is about a young boy who is fond of looking at his face in the mirror feeling ugly to see his drooping shoulders and the sunken cheeks and it is during the lock down period the insistance on his mother’s wish to have haircut becomes the need of the hour. Still the boy doesn’t want to have haircut but likes to have a clean shaven head. As per the wish the barber is brought and he starts shaving his head with out opening his mouth which fills some doubt in the mind of the boy. As the barber coughs neither his grandmother nor mother offers him water. On seeing their indifference he goes in and offers him a jug of water. When he is about to get water the old lady gets the jug from his hands and in return gives him a hundred rupees .The barber never feels sorry and when he is about to leave he wants the lady to buy an ointment for the white flakes called dandruff on his scalp. The practice of not allowing the low caste people to touch the drinking vessels is found to be in Vogue is known
Comment:
An interesting story for it is the age of adolescence and it becomes a practice for all guys to look at their face in the mirror and the remark made by the barber is too interesting as we come across such characters. It seems as if the story is being written like that of R.K. Narayan.
This is the best to be selected.

Thank u for the comment sir/ma’am.
It really helps to know what does the story seem lacking when particular things are left downplayed. Surely will try better one in future.
